For the “Wunschschloss” in the Castle of Thun i had to create a Stagebackdrop measuring 3,5m by 6,6m.
It is an Event to bring Ideas from the People to those in Power to help them progress and realize their Wishes for the Future. In advance of the Event the Ideas where gatherer via the Web. The Ten most promising wishes where pre-selected to be presented to the Executives at the Mainevent. The Idea for the Panel was to visualize each of these ten Wishes. I choose a dense Form to distract the Viewer from the individual Illustration to create a more homogeneous Design, and not to reveal the wishes in advance. At the Event the areas of the Backdrop that represented the wish the Speaker was talking about where highlighted. So the Illustration helped the viewer to understand the idea.
